COACH PROFILE

I’m Kris.
I am Miss Kris, a Certified Co-parenting Life Coach, Published Author, Speaker, Registered Nurse and mother of four! I am introducing "Healthy Co-Parenting" which is all about real relationship advice including getting through Divorce, being a single parent, going through healing with therapy and prayer, then developing a Healthy Co-parenting relationship. I have personal experience Co-Parenting with my ex-husband for the last 11 years. We are joint co-parents and make sure to create two healthy homes for our girls. There is also a single parent aspect that I relate to for those who do not have a co-parenting partner due to an absentee parent, death or drugs and abuse. I also have over three years of professional experience coaching clients through these sometimes difficult situations.

When it comes to divorce, the adults involved should try not to expose the children to their arguments. Divorce and breakups often happen because of long-term problems and may include verbal and emotional abuse. The effects of a toxic relationship can potentially remain present for months, years or the rest of a child's life. Because of this, we must be very careful how we choose to interact with our co-parent during this time. Just because you all are dissolving a marriage, you still must maintain a health relationship for the children involved. You may not even agree with the divorce, but to purposely make it difficult and messy is only selfish on your part. Being a responsible parent means putting the children first and protecting their mental and physical health. Make the transition as smooth as possible for them by working with your co-parent instead of against them. Remember, if you can't be cordial and respectful for your own children then divorce is not your main issue. Even in this season you are still making memories that the children will carry with them into adulthood, in everything be kind.

No one is perfect and we don’t always get it right the first, or second time. We can only learn from our past and grow into healthier, happier and healed people! Now my mess is my message and my pain has become my purpose. Instead of making excuses I’m making positive changes and helping others to do the same!
