APPLES TO ORANGES F A DEAA

Comparing Apples to Oranges!

You comparing yourself to others will cut you short!

Comparing yourself to others will keep you bound. I remember comparing myself years ago when friends of mine went off to college and I remain home going to the local community college then university while working full time. In my mind back then, I thought I was a failure because I didn’t go off to school. And I remember having a conversation with my grandma and being transparent about my comparison and her response was “there is more than one way to skin a cat!” Now, please don’t call PETA, it’s just an expression of speech but her words still bring comfort today. In Galatians 6:4 it states, “But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load.” Understand that we all have our own load to carry but if we keep on comparing ourselves to the Johnsons, we’ll never get what God intended for us to have.
