Covid 19 and its affect on Purpose.

The Coronavirus named Covid 19 has been very devastating to many of us for so many reasons.  Isolation from loved ones, lost of loved ones, the inability to properly pay respects to the dead during this time, your business has shut down, you are unemployed, bills are stacking up, children are stuck at home and you can’t help them with their school work, you want or need to go out but scared of contracting Covid 19, and the list can go on and on.  Is there a God?  And what kind of God does this?  What am I supposed to be doing right now?  What am I supposed to learn from all this?

So many questions will go unanswered.  The main reason why these questions will go unanswered is because we will not search for the answers.  While I don’t have all the answers; I do know where to go to get them.  The Bible tells in James 1:5 where to go.  “If any of you lack wisdom, let him(or her) ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not: and it shall be given him.”  So, “Let’s Talk” to God and see what He has to say about it.

John 16:31 – 33(The version of these texts in the Amplified Bible makes it so clear.)  31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now [at last] believe? 32 Take careful notice: an hour is coming, and has arrived, when you will all be scattered, each to his own home, leaving Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]

The truth is the world is a bad place.  There will be unfavorable things that will happen to us.  But Jesus has said very directly that in the middle of all this He got us because He has won the battle over all of it.  Not just your neighbors problems, not just my problems, rather all of our pass, present and future problems.  Yes, your problems, too.  Not only has he defeated all our problems; He has a plan for each of us.  Check out what Jeremiah says about it.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Let’s Talk about it!!!
