DISCIPLINE

Difficulty, Desperation and Discipline

What if we apply the principles of things we know and love, things we have already overcome, in times of difficulty and desperation?

I was interviewing a student today, and she seemed pretty nervous when I asked about her ability to do the job. As we talked some more, she mentioned her love of sports.

I told her that nerves were natural, and just like sports, there is power to anticipating the uphill climb of “something new”. I told her that like any sport, the job would require practice, strategy and discipline in order to…win.

Anyway, she was a lot less nervous after that.

But that conversation gave me some food for thought in my own life:

What if we apply the principles of things we know and love, things we have already overcome, in times of difficulty and desperation?

Could you imagine the level of long-range discipline and success we could achieve in all things?

Give it a try this week!
