Don’t despise small beginnings

‚ÄčYesterday I heard ‚Äča world-renowned Bishop and conference speaker say, ‚Äč‚Äč‚ÄúCelebrate small accomplishments‚Ķ clap over ‚Äč[applaud] ‚Äčsmall successes and then you will accomplish great outcomes because you appreciated the small accomplishments. ‚Äč‚Äč‚Äč‚ÄčIf you are faithful over a few things, God will make you ruler over many.‚Ä̬† ‚Äč‚Äč

The scripture reference is a familiar‚Äč ‚Äčpassage taken from Matthew 25:21, “‚Äč‚ĶIf you are faithful over a few things, God will make you ruler over many‚Äč..‚Äč.‚Ä蔂Äč‚Äč During this session, the speaker emphasized how the small stuff gets us to the big stuff. The analogy he used is that millions of dollars are made of hundreds of dollars, so don’t waste $100.¬†

His words resonated with me so much that afterward, I kept pondering what he said. I mentally started dissecting what I heard Рmillions are made up of hundreds, which are made up of twenties, which are made up of dollars, which are made up of quarters, which are made up of nickels which are made up of pennies. Not only should I not waste $100, I should not waste a penny.

The scripture, the message, the mediation reminded me of something that I believe, it’s okay to work hard for the things that we want in life‚Äč, yet in ‚Äčthe process, we don’t have to step on anyone, throw them under the bus, be mean or rude or lie, cheat or steal to reach our destination‚Äčs‚Äč. ‚ÄčAdditionally, I had the following takeaways:¬†

‚Äč* ‚ÄčI pray and come into divine alignment, partnership and creativity with God.
* I will study the scriptures for the wisdom to think beyond my competence and abilities.
* I will not ‚Äč‚Äčwaste ‚Äčmy‚Äč time, energy or resources on ‚Äčfoolishness or ‚Äčthings that ‚Äčdo not perpetuate future greatness‚Äč.

* I will pay attention to the successful strategies, patterns and promises of God.

‚Äč* I will think of ways to grow, build and own the stages and platforms that allow others opportunities to highlight and showcase their gifts, talents and abilities.¬† ‚Äč

‚Äč* I prepare myself and others for the manifested blessings that are coming.

* ‚Äč‚ÄčI will seek God with each step.¬†

‚ÄčWhat will you do differently today to change the trajectory of your life and the lives of others around you?

Smiles across the miles.

Blessings,
