Family [fam-uh-lee, fam-lee] n. A basic social unit consisting of parents and their children, considered as a group whether dwelling together or not. I am a firm believer the most effective and powerful unit on earth is the existence and function of the family. Although we’re facing challenging times with a national pandemic invading this country I want to encourage and inspire you to invade your household and draw near to one another! Infect your home with family time, attitudes of love and support. I can not tell you how much I have thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the living room floor with my family playing a game of Uno (and cheating of course lol), eating dinner together at the kitchen table and having a ten minute praise and worship time with my daughters. Some of these same activities or whatever you prefer can be implemented into your family’s schedule where you see fit and modify the days and time as well. It’s been a blessing to us over the years as it fostered and reinforced cohesiveness, connecting with one another and peace in our home.
As a parent and a 20 year educator I have learned from my daughters and students that this is how children spell love, T-I-M-E.
