Freedom in Structure

If you are like me, you might be squirming right now.

It is painful for me to admit, but structure is necessary.

I quit my full-time job because I hated being boxed in. I like familiarity, but routine is way too boring. Anything that threatens my perceived freedom is subconsciously avoided. I am a creative through and through, and we struggle with all things structure.

However, what I have learned is that true freedom involves awareness, organization, and a plan. A budget sounds too binding, but knowing where your money is going and coming from empowers you to have financial confidence. A schedule seems too monotonous, but knowing when you are going to check off your to-do items gives you clear and peaceful mind.

If you are like me, you might be squirming right now. The truth is, you will find out how much you love structure once you try it. So now, what do you need to do to embrace the structure you have been avoiding?
