HOPE

Hope: The Remedy for What Ails the Soul

The gift of hope seems like such a small one but in hope there lies a freedom that you can’t get by other means. This hope will keep you steady, keep you walking in faith, keep you laughing with joy, keep you thriving when people know you should be failing.

HOPE! Look no further for the remedy to soothe your soul because it’s already been found. The times are rough and no matter which direction you look, there seems to be more bad news. Worse still, you move forward just a bit and before you know it, backward you go! “NOT AGAIN!” You get to the point sometimes when you begin to wonder what is going to go wrong next. Stop! Just stop, take a breath, and relax. Let out a good, long “woosah” and come back to yourself.

There are two things you have to consider before you can be positioned to receive the remedy. First, consider who is behind stealing your joy, your peace, and making everything seem mixed up. Secondly, consider He who is greater than anything that can go wrong.

Which one should you focus on? Who really holds the power here? God does. Not only does God hold the power but He has even equipped you with your own power. The power to choose what you’re going to focus on and who you’re going to believe. God has also given you something else; a gift. Now, the thing about this gift is that you can’t have it unless you accept it.

HOPE. God has given you the gift of hope. It may seem like such a small gift but He’s given it to you because it is the one remedy that will cure the ache in your soul.

Jeremiah 29:11 reminds you that God has intentional plans to give you hope and a future. That hope will help to carry you into the future that God has prepared. Hebrews 10:23 reminds you to hold on to this hope with all you have. Why?

When you feel stuck at your job, HOPE pushes you toward better.

When you’re perpetually single, HOPE reminds you that God will bring your mate.

When you don’t know how to make ends meet, HOPE says that God will provide.

When you’ve tried and tried but can’t conceive, HOPE whispers, “God is in control.”

When you’re sick and it seems like nothing is working, HOPE reminds you that God is working.

The gift of hope seems like such a small one but in hope there lies a freedom that you can’t get by other means. This hope will keep you steady, keep you walking in faith, keep you laughing with joy, keep you thriving when people know you should be failing.

Accept God’s gift of HOPE because it truly is medicine for your soul.
