Throughout my journey self-love has been key. Below I have a few tips on how to love yourself, along with some positive affirmations that you can use every day.
Fully accept and approve of yourself
Accept and approve of all parts of yourself as you are in this moment. Love the great qualities about yourself, while also loving the ones that aren’t so great. Love every mole, roll, and every bit of cellulite. Look in the mirror and tell yourself you love yourself every day. Accept who you are and what you stand for, and if you’re not sure take some alone time to find out.
Stop criticizing yourself and forgive.
We have enough negativity around us, don’t be negative with yourself. This may be a challenge at first, but practice makes perfect.When you make mistakes show yourself love and compassion. I encourage you to replace your negative thoughts with a positive affirmation that you like. Forgiveness frees you from the past. Holding on to negative emotions is detrimental to your health. Release the past with love.
Give yourself love
What makes you happy? What makes you smile? What really makes you feel good? If it is something positive, then do it or maybe you can watch it. Give yourself a massage or take a steamy bath! There have been so many times where I literally had to hug myself and tell myself that everything is going to be okay. Over time you will find that the love you can give yourself is better than what any other person can.
