MISUNDERSTANDING IN RELATIONSHIP FRUSTRATED BLACK MAN AND WOMAN AVOIDING EYE CONTACT SITTING ON COUC

I gave it my all, now what?

Relationships can be some of the best memories we create with other people. We remember all the little fun dates, staying on the phone, going out the way to secretly surprise your boyfriend or girlfriend, etc. All those things keep the relationships going and growing. Going deeper into memory lane, you always answered the phone, you made sacrifices, and you probably did things you said you’d never do. Honestly, no one gets into a relationship expecting it to fail, but what can you do when it does? One of the first things you can do is understand that it is okay to feel hurt. You have the right to feel however you want to feel, but dont sit in misery. Once you’ve dealt with the emotions, allow yourself to regroup. Without placing blame or finger pointing, look into what went wrong in the relationship. Next, take the lesson from what went wrong and allow yourself to grow. If the relationship was toxic, ask yourself what made it toxic. If the relationship was okay and you naturally grew apart, what are your next steps in love? A break up can build you, or it can keep you stuck in your own thoughts. Whatever the case may be, you have the power to do whatever you want to do. Choose to be better! – Lori G. Clark
