What you do in this season will have an impact on your future, either positively or negatively. It is up to you to figure out what you can do to be the best version of yourself. I'd like to think that your life will change for the better when you become a SAVAGE!

I don’t know who needs to hear this but you need to become a SAVAGE! If you are for the culture, you know that the hit song “Savage,” by Megan Thee Stallion is currently the quarantine anthem for young women everywhere. Now, I’m no Stallion, but I reckon that I am a SAVAGE! Classy and Boujee, but I left the ratchet side in 2019!  When I say that I’m a savage, I don’t mean how Megan Thee Stallion and the rest of the world probably envision it. I came up with this acronym for being a savage.

SAVAGE= Self Advancing Victory Acquiring Goal Executing

Self-advancing– What are the things that you can do right now to help advance your life? I know that money is tight for many of us, but something that most of us do have is time. The internet is full of free resources that you can use to get new knowledge. When outside opens back up again, how will you be better? What have you learned from this experience? What does your future look like? YouTube has been my quarantine best friend. I’m learning so much about passive income, investing, and financial literacy. What I initially wasn’t privy to is that the best investment that you can make is in yourself.

Victory Acquiring– How do you acquire victory? Being victorious first happens in your mind. “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he,” Proverbs 23:7. What are you telling yourself? If you are telling yourself that you’re not good enough, not pretty enough, not thin enough, or not rich enough, you are standing in your way to a victorious outcome. When you change what you say, your whole world will change too.

Goal Executing– At this point, most of us just want to throw the whole 2020 away! The goals that we set for ourselves on January 1st are no longer a priority. Make them a priority again. Don’t use this time as an excuse to not work towards executing your goals this year. When you work for others, their dream never stops, and neither should yours. For example, you know how when you are at work on a slow day, your manager walks by your desk and sees that you are not being productive, he/she may stop and tell you to find something to do. That’s how you have to look at executing your goals in this season. There is always something to do. Taking one step towards your goal is always better than taking no step at all. Don’t stand in your way. Know that you can do anything that you put your mind and effort into. Be bold and courageous. Be a SAVAGE!
