In the face of a breakup

About me

Have you found yourself separated or facing a breakup, split, or divorce? Are you feeling stuck struggling with the feeling of being misunderstood, confused, and overwhelmed with life’s new challenges?

An ending of a significant relationship or marriage can be one of the most highly stressful, life-changing events. Whatever is the reason for the breakup, it can turn your whole world upside down and trigger all sorts of painful and unsettling emotions.

Being in my mid 40’s having this experience launched me into uncharted territory. Besides the mental, emotional distress, financial stress, and social pressure, everything was disrupted in my life, my routine with my children, my role at home,  my responsibilities, my relationships with friends, and even my identity. It also brought me all kinds of uncertainty about the future in some of the most important areas of my life.

As I began a learning journey and start taking steps on my self-healing and personal transformation, I joined as a volunteer in a Non-Profit organization that assists women victims of domestic violence. Working on myself and with clients made me realize that getting support from others is critical to healing.

Having myself been going through all of these helped me understand what it’s like and how important is to be able to freely express yourself without being judged, criticized, or told what to do. I learned that those who can support you will not only truly listen to you, value you, and energize you with positive approaches but would help you tap into your abilities to rise from it feeling stronger to start living your life with purpose, meaning, and more satisfaction.
