Hurt or pain is a sign that something is wrong and needs to be tended to and not to be guilty or ashamed of.

Do not cover it up or feel ashamed, just because someone who went through the same experience with you handled it at a faster pace than you, seamlessly and came out strong quicker. It might be that they have opted for a short cut to deal with the pain and cover it up by getting into a rebound relationship or unhealthy habits that in the long run will definitely surface again and cause hurt. This why it s vey vital that pain is dealt with sufficiently for total healing to avoid living a repeated cycle of disappointment and heart break.
Understand we have different strengths and approach to various life circumstances. Therefore, do not be destructed comparing other peoples journey to yours focus on you, your goals and what you can with what you have. With the right support system in place, your desire to overcome coupled with your commitment you will come out on the other side stronger and transformed if you stay put.
When you look back before you know it you’ll find yourself standing tall again. You’ll understand it was good that you went through it. God does not allow anything to happen to us for no reason. He is an intentional God and his purpose will prevail but before it does pruning is necessary.
