New Condition, New Questions

It can be a normal reaction to have denial about a diagnosis, but denial does not mean that we cannot still learn about how this condition affects people.

When we are diagnosed with a new condition, we have to start planning to adjust our lives accordingly, which includes asking the doctor additional questions. It is important to plan to avoid injury as a result of just not knowing much about our condition. It may be hard, in the beginning, to accept that we have a condition, but we have to develop the mindset that knowledge about a topic does not always come after acceptance. It can be a normal reaction to have denial about a diagnosis, but denial does not mean that we cannot still learn about how this condition affects people. 

Learn how to help yourself or someone else later. A new condition leads to new questions and new behaviors.
