Overcompensating is Unnecessary

Overcompensating is the act of going the extra mile to fill the void we think our son feels because of the absence of his father. Overcompensating is bad. It hinders your son, it causes guilt, and it makes you feel inadequate. Your son needs you to be whole, confident, and supportive. He does not need to see you broken and living life as an apology.
