Positive Self-Talk

Positive self-talk can help you reduce stress, boost your confidence and resilience, and build better relationships.

Happy Monday!!

Let’s Talk: Positive Self-talk

Positive self-talk is necessary in cultivating your self-love. When I say positive self-talk, I am talking about being intentional about the conversations you have with yourself.

Positive self-talk is your armor when you feel disappointed, discouraged, frustrated, embarrassed, when you don’t feel like you are enough or you want to give up.

Positive self-talk can help you reduce stress, boost your confidence and resilience, and build better relationships.

My #1 personal positive self-talk statement is “ I will be okay.” This is pretty simple and extremely complex because it requires a lot of introspection — I find comfort and validation in it because my reality is that I believe everything will work out in my favor, that is how big my faith is!

It’s okay to feel your emotions, the follow up is how you react to them, the meaning you put to them and the decisions you make after them.

#PROTIP: Neutralize your negative self-talk by changing negative words to neutral words, for example instead of I hate, say I don’t like or instead of I’m angry, say it’s annoying. (Verywellmind.com)

Today, I want you to take a closer look at how you talk to yourself? Are you encouraging yourself? Are you celebrating yourself? Or are you making assumptions and limiting yourself?
