Renew Your Mind!

We can't afford to get off-kilter and fall by the wayside. We have to be mentally prepared for the struggles and attacks that come our way. If you're not strong you'll be easy to sway.

Romans 12:2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

How many times have you gotten yourself into something that was avoidable simply because your mind was not where it should be? Boy, do I have my own list of experiences in this area! No matter if it is something as simple as getting upset in traffic or selecting the 100% wrong person to enter a relationship with…we can avoid it.

Yup, you can avoid it by renewing your mind every single day. You have to take the time to reflect, understand, meditate, pray, and really talk out what you’re experiencing with God and with people who keep you accountable if you have them. Many issues we face take a toll on our peace of mind and in turn it causes us to react to situations and to people from a place of frustration, hurt, pity, fear, etc. Believe it or not, you have the ability to control your mind and the thoughts you think but it is not easy and we have to invite the Lord in to help us.

You have within you the ability to overcome your past and become the best version of yourself but you have to go through a period of renewal. You have to continue to renew your mind even when you feel like you’re at the top of the mountain.
