Self Talk

What was the last thing you said to yourself about yourself?

Did it sound something like this, “I can’t eat that because I am too fat?” “I can’t do that because I’ve never done it before?” “I can’t say that because they will think I am stupid?”  It appears we are way more careful with what we say to other people than how we talk to ourselves. To ourselves, we can be so dang mean.

If you take the time to see yourself the way your best friend sees you, you would appreciate how beautiful, amazing, and interesting you truly are.  Secondly, why do you not celebrate your wins the way you celebrate others? Think about it, my friend.

It might feel like everyone else is more confident or more accomplished than you, but I can assure you, this is not the case!  You have seen those people who are beautiful, talented, and universally admired but they present nervousness to the world. Let that not be us!  Honor ourselves by being kind with our words which in turn will be revealed in our actions.
