Iām sure most of you have heard of the song āTime is on my sideā by The Rolling Stones. This song gained notoriety in the early sixties due to its catchy lyrics and melodic tones. Despite the huge success of the song, it can give usĀ a false security about the notion of time and how much time we can afford to waste.
Thereās nothing wrong with thinking that time is ourĀ friend; however, when we become accustomed to procrastination, it can become our enemy and rob us of our gifts and passions.
When we truly stop and think about life, time is something that stops for no one. ItĀ will continue to move forward with or without our consent. No matter how much you hope and wish, you will never be able to get back last year or last night.
For this reason alone, we should look at the concept of time through a different lens. Make the most out of the opportunities that you are given and begin to take control over your time because tomorrow isnāt promised.
So letās change the phrase from time is on my side to time is on my side if I choose to make the most of it.
