There are misconceptions that counseling is only for people who have serious mental and emotional problems and/or a sign of weakness. You don’t have to be diagnosed with a mental health problem to benefit from counseling. Many people who are receiving counseling seek help for common everyday stresses (health concerns, relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, family issues, and job stresses).  Do not allow these myths to discourage you from taking charge of your life and changing for the better.
