The comparison trap

As we all should know by now comparison is the thief of joy. For many years I lived my life for others. I gauged my success in life by looking at my friends, by looking in the media looking everywhere but inside myself. I should was my favorite line but who said I should? How could I have possibly known what I wanted when I was so focused on everyone else. In theory yes we can be “successful” living this way. We can have money, cars, clothes, a partner whatever it is we think we’re “supposed” to have. But can you really be successful when you aren’t being true to you?
