Three rules to happiness

Personal satisfaction means different things for different people. Many times, as humans, we are looking outward for happiness to be fulfilled. Whether it’s from a spouse, spending money on a shopping spree, or jet setting on an exotic travel destination. The truth is, inner happiness comes from within. You may need to change your thinking to achieve happiness. Here are three ways to activate change in your life.

1. Your destiny is controlled by you.

Here’s the good news, you have the power to make your dreams come true. There is a quote that says: “everything affects everything.” If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time. Do you have unfulfilled dreams? Something that you have been doing up until this point is not working.

You have to change. Be open to doing things differently. Start now. Re-invent yourself. This begins by taking responsibility for your life. Be aware of yourself and those around you. Seek out new information, new ideas, new things, and new productive ways to manifest destiny.

2. Setbacks are here to strengthen you, not limit you.

Do not drive off-track because of setbacks. Successful people have failed many times and got back up. You have to go from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm. Do not view failures as negatives. Retrain your thinking to see the experience as a lesson learned. Those instances are building blocks to a firm foundation. Stay the course. Through perseverance, we will be able to achieve our goals and reach our dreams.

3. Avoid people that put you down.

Do not listen to them. There will be negative nancys and Debbie downers on the path to your dream. Do not hang out with these types of people. People who try to break you down are not worth your time. Remember, you have to believe in yourself when others don’t. Follow the internal compass that guides you. Once you have identified positive people that support you, stick with them.
