Peace & Love
When growing up as a very young little girl I found that writing was a positive tool I could use to escape my bullies. I believe this is why my parents encouraged me to write. I am a writer and a poet. Though I have never considered myself to be a writer. I have never been afraid to write. And I will never stop. I have heard all that malarkey about my writings. And how nobody cared about what I have to say.
As an adult a man who served time in prison, fresh out into the free world, who doesn’t even know me, was a new member of our church, walked right up to me just before our poetry event to let me know that nobody wanted to hear what I had to say.
I have heard It all…I am not here to compete with anyone. I am here to make a difference. If God so loved the world that he gave his only be gotten son. Why can’t I so love the world that I am not ashamed to write my stories, share my relationship with Him and how in my life His hands, His love and His grace gave me enough wisdom, strength and courage to write with passion, to tell my story, without fear of judgement.
While I may use writing to overcome my situations, and my circumstances, no matter what you may have to say…I will tell my stories. Thank you Lord. Thank you God! I am so grateful. Thank you!
Keep in mind that none of us are perfect no matter how much education we have or may not have…so stay woke. We are perfect in the eyes of God. We are His creation. God loves us all. We were created to create.
So with that unique skill in me, I choose to create an environment that is loving and peaceful, with the joy of it surrounding me. I still love y’all, and there ain’t nothing you can do about it. Amen. And so it is! Amen, Blessings —Celestine R. Snell.
