Who Moved This Mountain?

"My headphones rang out as long as I could blast them while my eyes were closed and my hands raised high. I was in my bedroom in full blown worship at a point of gratefulness. My heart was full...and as He does, God whispered a revelation into my heart that blew my mind." #faithwalk #spiritualrevelation #walkonwater #eyeshaventseen

Travis Greene won a Billboard Music Award for Top Gospel Song for his 2015 release of “Made a Way” – a powerful song that was slightly off from its Biblical origins.

“You move mountains”

The song played on repeat during a personal time of worship I often enjoy while my daughter sleeps at night. My headphones rang out as long as I could blast them while my eyes were closed and my hands raised high. I was in my bedroom in full blown worship at a point of gratefulness. My heart was full…and as He does, God whispered a revelation into my heart that blew my mind.

“He replied, ‘Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20-21 (NIV)

Yes, while it is in His might and will it is actually us that are empowered to move the mountain. Just as young David was empowered to defeat the giant, we are empowered by faith to move the mountain with mere words and mustard seed faith. As my carnal mind attempted to make sense of what I’d just heard, God brought me to another interesting place in scripture that we as believers often sleep on…

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12 (NIV)

I do not believe that the dreams, goals, aspirations, and passions placed in our hearts are by accident or coincidence. We weren’t born into the families, communities, conditions we’re in for no reason. The things that grieve our hearts can be left on the altar and taken up to the heavens in prayer. We can rest assured that the heavens respond…but I believe those responses are usually through our human hands.

What have you slept on yourself about?

Not sure how it will get done? Consult with the Father and ask for His direction and carefully planned out steps…He’ll more than likely only give you a few steps at a time BUT trust Him with the happy ending. It may not satisfy your fleshly desires, but it will fulfill that huge hole you’ve been feeling for so long – that God-sized hole that has lingered and blocked your success, joy, healing and freedom of the abundance God’s Word promised you. Prioritize the Word of God over all other voices, including your own, and watch blow your mind!
