Wholeness

It is customary in some social and cultural circles for a guest to bring food, wine or some type of gift to present to the host of an event or gathering.  Now, imagine a dinner guest presenting a 1/2 baked pie or cake or an open, half-empty/full bottle of wine to the host and expecting that person to have or provide the remaining half of whatever was brought.  Sounds ridiculous, right?   It may be a silly scenario, however many times we go into relationships with a similar mentality, looking for the other to be our ‘other half , ‘better half’, etc.

To be fully functional and at one’s best, cannot happen if one exists in bits and pieces.  Individual wholeness in oneself must exists first, in order to prevent one from getting lost in another and loosing oneself.
