Your past may shape your story, but it does not have to define your next chapter.

About Kenya

I’m Kenya—a Certified Life Coach, published author, educator, entrepreneur, mother, and lifelong learner with more than 30 years of experience in education, leadership, professional development, and helping people navigate growth and change. As an educator, author, and professional with a background in psychology and organizational leadership, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my coaching. My coaching style is warm, honest, compassionate, and practical. I’m not here to judge you or tell you how to live your life; I’m here to listen, ask the questions that help you gain clarity, challenge you when necessary, and help you turn uncertainty into intentional action. Whether you’re navigating a career change, starting a small business or want to expand an existing business, rebuilding your confidence, starting over after divorce, dating at 50+, pursuing your next chapter, or bringing your book idea to life, you don’t have to have all the answers before we begin. Sometimes, you simply need a safe, supportive space to unpack the pieces, rediscover yourself, and create a clear path forward.

Why I coach

I became a coach because I understand firsthand what it means to lose sight of yourself, your purpose, and your possibilities while navigating life’s challenges. As a Certified Life Coach, published author of the Mookie’s Miracles children’s book series, educator with 32 years of experience, and successful entrepreneur, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my coaching. Through life coaching and Push the Pen, my author coaching program, I support aspiring and seasoned authors who are ready to overcome self-doubt, gain clarity, break through writer’s block, and turn their ideas into purposeful action. My role is not to tell you who to be, but to walk alongside you, ask meaningful questions, provide accountability and encouragement, and help you confidently move toward the woman, writer, and life you desire. My life coaching also speaks to the seasons of reinvention that many women and men experience—navigating divorce, rediscovering yourself while dating at 50 and beyond, or having the courage to pursue a new career or professional direction. I help women an men embrace change without losing themselves, gain clarity about what they truly want, and create intentional next steps for the life they are ready to build. I believe it is never too late to begin again, redefine your story, and create a future that reflects who you are becoming.
