“Stop reacting. See the terrain clearly. Lay the foundation and build.”
About Schewana
As an award-winning healthcare operations executive, U.S. Army Veteran, and the founder of both Velvet Root and Aurelian Bloom, I bring over twenty years of strategic leadership and business operations inside complex, multimillion-dollar healthcare organizations. My career has been defined by navigating high-stakes operations, mastering organizational dynamics, and executing with disciplined foresight. Outside the boardroom, my sharpest leadership proving ground was raising my now 25-year-old son as a single mother on the streets of Atlanta, mastering systemic advocacy through public school disciplinary processes to protect his future. That journey forged my approach to mentorship: bridging deep emotional intelligence, tactical resilience, and grounded strategy. I partner with corporate leaders, ambitious professionals, and single mothers to help them cut through the noise, read their terrain clearly, and build unshakeable authority.
Why I coach
I became a mentor because high-stakes leadership is never won with textbook theories; it is won through composure under fire and knowing how to navigate unseen terrain. Having spent decades coaching and developing professionals across every stage of their careers, directing complex healthcare operations, and fiercely advocating for my son, I refuse to gatekeep the strategic blueprints that convert high-pressure survival into lasting stability. I do this work to provide an objective sanctuary—equipping executives to command their rooms, while giving single mothers the tactical tools to bridge emotional friction with their sons and safeguard their trajectory. True leadership means stepping out of reaction, reading the landscape with precision, and building from unshakeable ground.
