About Sheryl
A Brooklyn native, U.S. Coast Guard veteran, educator, and entrepreneur, Sheryl Leyva believes that reinvention has no age limit and purpose has no boundaries. With an MBA and over 15 years of corporate experience, including Wall Street and business operations, Sheryl built a successful career before embracing a new chapter after 40. Her journey led her to Shanghai, China, where she discovered a passion for teaching English and inspiring learners of different ages and backgrounds. As the founder of TeNi Global Pathways, Sheryl combines her military discipline, business experience, and international perspective to empower others to pursue their ambitions, navigate life transitions, and explore opportunities beyond conventional expectations. Her philosophy is simple: Your past does not define your possibilities, and it's never too late to create a life aligned with your values. Whether in business, education, or life abroad, Sheryl leads with authenticity, purpose, and her guiding mantra: “Wherever you are, be there fully.”
Why I coach
I became a coach because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams, regardless of age, background, or where they are in life. I know firsthand that life doesn't always follow the path we imagined, but that doesn't mean our dreams are no longer worth pursuing. I understand that access to capital, networking, community, information, and other resources play an important role in achieving our goals. However, one of the biggest challenges is often simply getting started. That's where I come in. As your coach, my goal is to help you organize your thoughts, clarify your vision, set realistic goals, and develop a practical plan to move forward. Whether you're considering a career change after 40, starting a business, relocating abroad, or pursuing an unconventional path, I want to help you explore what's possible. I didn't become a coach to tell you how to live your life. I became a coach to help you take meaningful steps toward the life you want to create. I believe your dreams are worth exploring, your experiences have value, and it's never too late to begin a new chapter.
